PRIMARY FUNCTION

This group is responsible for providing realtime market data to Order Management Systems. There has been a dramatic increase in market data volumes in the recent past causing an increased focus on throughput, latency, and reliability of market data distribution systems. Downtime in MarketData distribution is highly visible to clients. The team is also responsible for consolidating different market data feeds and calculating the Best Bid/Offer. They provides all information necessary to keep systems comply with RegNMS requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates should have experience in C++ on Unix systems or Java. Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of STL and Socket programming experience is a plus. Project involves programming with TCP/IP, UDP, and Multicast sockets.
  • Knowledge of Unix internals is a plus.
  • Multithreaded development experience and sockets are a "should have".
  • CQS, UQDF, OPRA, ITCH, ArcaBook, OpenBook, BATS, CME.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in C++ or Java on Unix systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Four year bachelors degree or the international equivalent.
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms is required.
  • Knowledge of STL is good to have.
  • Project involves programming with TCP/IP, UDP, and Multicast sockets.
  • Knowledge of Unix internals is a plus.
  • Multithreaded development experience and sockets are a "should have".
  • Much preference will be given to candidates that have already worked with Market Data for US Equities Market data feeds including some or all of these: CQS, UQDF, OPRA, ITCH, ArcaBook, OpenBook, BATS, CME.
  • Very desirable is understanding of Level 1, level 2, attributed quotes, and Trades.
  • Good to have: Realtime systems experience and knowledge of how Equity markets function.
